If I Were 21 I Would Change The World Like This...:)

If I were 21 all over again I would have done exactly what I did because I was 21 and didn't know any better. I was young, naive, bravely stupid-smart and oh so young.
But since the purpose of this story is to give a bunch of hypothetical 'youngsters' the advice that I wish I had been given at that age (and likely was) How about this:
If I were 21 I would:
  1. Do more stuff that they said I shouldn't
  2. Spin a globe and throw a dart
  3. See which country it lands on
  4. Then move to that country and live there for 6-12 months
  5. Then do it again. At least 3 times.
Of course, while living in that country I would become fluent in the language via the full immersion method, whilst becoming culturally fluent as well. I would live and be and do. I would run with the bulls, slide in giant tomato fights, pick coffee at 2000 meters, hike volcanos, surf, lounge and experience the world outside my own world. I would focus on awesome and do more of that stuff.
All the things that I now realize are all that matter are the things I would focus on.
Everyone must leave something behind when he dies . . . Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die . . . It doesn't matter what you do, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that's like you after you take your hands away. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world.Love people who hate you. Pray for people who have wronged you. It won’t just change their life…it’ll change yours.
I love this! I think the same thing when reflecting back. I wish I had traveled more, taken more time in school, learned more, really learned other languages (Russian,French.....) and just had FUN! Well said!
“One smile has the power to...
Calm fears.
Soften stone walls.
Warm a cold heart.
Invite a new friend.
Mimic a loving hug.
Beautify the bearer.
Lighten heavy loads.
Promote good deeds.
Brighten a gloomy day.
Comfort a grieving spirit.
Offer hope to the forlorn.
Send a message of caring.
Lift the downtrodden soul.
Patch up invisible wounds.
Weaken the hold of misery.
Act as medicine for suffering.
Attract the companionship of angels.
Fulfill the human need for recognition.
Who knew changing the world would prove so simple?”
